STMicroelectronics is a Swiss semiconductor company. It designs, develops, manufactures and markets various products, including standard components, and special-purpose integrated circuits (ASICs) for analog, digital, and mixed-signal applications. The company is divided into three segments: Automotive and Discrete Group (ADG); Analog, MEMS and Sensors Group (AMS); and Microcontrollers and Digital ICs Group (MDG). The ADG segment focuses on automotive integrated circuits and discrete power transistor products. The AMS segment deals with low-power analog ICs, smart power products, Touch Screen Controllers, Low Power Connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), and power conversion products. The MDG segment includes general-purpose and secure microcontrollers, as well as Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory memories.
